Background Information
Ixia has always been a troubled girl, and for a long time she took her anger out on almost all things she could. This stemmed mainly from her lack of a childhood relationship with her mother and father, who are quite wealthy and spent little time with her. She was raised primarily by the Phalken mansion's maids and staff; such as the chefs, tutors and cleaning crews. Her parents bought her whatever she wanted to keep her from getting on their nerves as they were much too absorbed in their own worlds to notice that their daughter was hurting inside. Ixia had always known her parents had wanted a son instead of a daughter, and even though Ixia would still inherit the Phalken's fortune her mother and father were displeased. This reflected on the way they treated her and the kind of attention they gave her (when they bothered to.)
She was sent to Trabia Garden on her thirteenth birthday by her father who thought she needed to learn respect and discipline and remained there until her transfer at the age of seventeen. Her first real boyfriend was unnaturally submissive and only made Ixia more of a self appointed 'alpha female.'
History at Balamb Garden
As she arrived at Balamb, Ixia began to act out more than usual. This was mainly due to her feelings of insecurity and inadequacy, as she was forced to live her greatest fear of being unknown and unwanted, though that was more or less the way she saw herself rather than how she was perceived by others. Meeting Kei Pyron drastically changed things for Ixia Phalken and forced her to view her new home in a different light, though this also lead to inner conflict centering on her mixed up judgment of the right and wrong things. She had been given everything all her life and everything she did went nearly unpunished, so when Kei reprimanded her for hurting others or breaking rules, she felt submissive and her Alpha Female disposition faded quickly. After an incident in the training center, Ixia was sent home. Upon returning to Balamb Garden, she grew.
Appearance
With the measurements of 32-29-34, Ixia is physically very beautiful. She sees her beauty as one of her most important aspects and refuses to think she may one day be without it. She is slender but curvy at the same time, the contours of her body resembling a thin figure eight. Her clothing is generally either quite dark in shade or very light, and more often than not also very revealing. Since she prides herself in her appearance she has no problem with 'flaunting' herself. She has a fascination with the color pink and frequently adds it to the ensembles.
Analysis
Ixia Phalken is a confident girl, who has a very heightened sense of pride. She can be a little cold to some people and sometimes intimidates others, but she does not always mean to be rude or disrespectful. She has come a long way in a year, but is still the same Ixia Allure.
When approached by a male, Ixia is generally assertive and refuses to be conversationally submissive, though she shows her feminine side quite obviously as she attempts to flirt with everything with a Y chromosome. She is suggestive and quite girly, and always makes sure the male she speaks to knows it is a privilege -not a right- to talk to her. When approached by a female, Ixia feels more comfortable with herself and 'lets herself out' more. She will discuss things like clothes, make up, boys and other girls in various lights. She is almost bashful around other girls as they tend to see things in each other that boys do not, though she is still very assertive. Of the few people she trusts, she is very protective, almost in a violent manner and is not afraid to threaten on the authority of her Disciplinary Committee status.
Combat Data
The Goddess style of blade fighting was adapted from an ancient Trabian exercise form royal women used to stay in shape. It is elaborate and quite beautiful to watch. The fighter dances (very close to a literal meaning there) and the moves are theatrical in appearance. Few use this style in actual combat due to some impracticalities when following the form's strict rules. Of course, Ixia being Ixia has decided to 'modify' the style to suit herself, changing the style's beautiful flowing twirling motions to a more edgy combat-proficient style. With a sword or club in one hand, fighters utilize a gauntlet in the other for protection. This gauntlet serves another purpose: to grab the enemy's weapon, even the blade.
Limit Break: Redeemer
Doomwalker
Ixia releases a troubling aura, causing enemies to become slightly disoriented. During this, she seems to 'stop trying' and instead of rushing towards her target she casually walks with galvanic jolts with sparks of red lightning jumping from her form in a rather eerie manner.
Thundertongue
Ixia literally kisses electricity onto her blade, charging the sword with lightning. She not only strikes now with thunder magic, but can launch bolts of lightning from her sword.
Climhazzard
A deadly combo of strikes designed to disable an opponent, capable of putting a single human target in near death status.
From Here to Infirmary
Ixia casts Tornado on the enemy, sending them high into the air. She then rides up the tornado to meet her foe in mid air. She glides up underneath the target and as she flies by, she makes deadly and precise passes through the target and lands on the ground as the enemy proceeds to take fall damage.
Weapon Variants
Athena
A longsword stained red. The blade seems to embody Ixia's anger and regrets. Often laughed at by some as 'the emo blade' but their laughs are cut short as the tip of the sword stings their throats.
